Dance with Death

A sad song plays,
As night begins to set,
An empty ballroom,
Acts as a lantern in the dark.

Grooms and Brides,
Gather here together,
Gray silhouettes,
Glowing dim in the night.

Hungry wolves,
Howl in the distance,
Haunting pictures,
Hang on the walls.

Ornate chandeliers,
Over dancing shadows,
Only once a year,
On this exact night.

Shadows dancing,
Spinning and twirling,
Screams echoing,
Storm raging on.

Time passes by,
Tunes come to an end,
The shadows disappear,
To dance next year.
