The countdown has officially begun for the long awaited arrival of the Hunger Games in theatres.
Today, tickets went on sale for the movie that started as a novel written by Suzanne Collins.
While the Harry Potter phenomenon came to a close with the last movie in July of 2011 and the last movie in the Twilight series in November of 2012, lucky for young adult reader’s there’s a new movie to wait for in anticipation.
The Hunger Games centers around the main character Katniss Everdeen and her life in Panem. Panem is divided in twelve districts, each district less better off than then one before it. Katniss is from District 12, the lowliest of them all, and is sent to the Hunger Games which serve as a reminder as to what rebellion in the capitol can do.
The movie is expected to have romance, action, and adventure. It has something for everyone. It comes to theatres March 23rd. Time is running out to read the books before the movies, so hurry and read them while you wait for the next novel inspired movies.

I sure enjoyed the movie and thought it was close enough to the book. Some folks thought it skipped to much and would have been confusing to someone who hadn’t read the books, but I don’t think so. Super fun!
