Jetting to New York on Sunday, Hillary Clinton meant to attend and speak at the statewide 9/11 memorial service along with her opponent Donald Trump. However, plans quickly went awry as Clinton was forced to leave early.

On her way out from the service, Clinton reportedly collapsed in front of her car. Her secret service were forced to help her into the vehicle as she attempted to leave. Alarm spread like fire as people wondered the cause.

Early reports blamed the episode on heatstroke. Such wouldn’t be surprising; New York is sweltering this time of year, and most services lasted several hours. In addition, Clinton’s been jumping from city to city in order to campaign for the presidency, and it’s unsurprising this would take a heavy toll on her body.

However, her doctor has recently attributed to a bad case of pneumonia and dehydration. Having been diagnosed two days prior to the service, it’s likely Clinton found herself at her limits following the memorial’s end.

The upcoming election promises to be interesting for both candidates. With Clinton at the age of 68 and Trump  only two years older, the health of each potential has been brought into question. If Trump were to take office, he’d be the oldest candidate to ever take office; Clinton would be the second oldest.

Nonetheless, doctors have repeatedly assured the public of either candidate’s good health, and it seems all that plagues Clinton is a simple case of pneumonia–one that is being treated quickly and with ease.

Having cancelled a trip to California, it is unknown how this roadblock might affect Clinton’s campaign, but her team has assured she’ll recover soon. She’s also scheduled to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on September 14th.
