On Aug 15th, JAG Mentors, JPCo, Cheer and Band gathered to make the Class of 2021’s first day at West a memorable one. They were welcomed by lines of cheering mentors to kick off their first day. They first heard from Dr. Potts and Mr. Brutto, as well as STUCo executive members. After walking through their schedules and meeting teachers/classmates for the first time, Mentors taught freshman about school technology systems. They ended the day with their first JPCo assembly, where they learned cheers, the fight song and alma mater and participated in their first class competition. They finished the day by ringing the bell to signify their first official moment as a Jaguar. The planning and commitment of these organizations made the freshman’s first day of high school an unforgettable experience.
