Signaling his love to fellow seniors, Tommy Sulentic gives a gesture of peace. Sulentic and Mahoney brought the "drum chant" to the school as juniors and it became a staple of school spirit. "When we saw the chant online we just had to get a drum and mallets," Sulentic said. "The fact that it gets kids so hype has been awesome."

Emceeing his last assembly on April 23, senior Cap Kelly introduces the “Chamber Men.” Kellys radio voice was often admired by teachers and students alike.

Surprising the student body with an all male version of the Britney Spears song, Hit Me Baby One More time, junior Grant Sasenik sings a solo with the “Chamber Men.” The group performed to a chorus of swoons and gasps from many of the female members of the student body. “It was so hard to keep a straight face and keep singing,” Sasenik said.

Surprising junior Safa Anjum by nominating her for the Sunflower Award, Maria Hernandez smiles. Hernandez wrote the nomination in Advisory. A committee of community leaders read the essays and chose Anjum as the recipient. Although awarded on April 23, Anjum will be recognized at a breakfast in August.

After being bestowed with the drum and mallets from seniors Tommy Sulentic and Jack Mahoney, juniors Will Hudler and Jackson Schaeffer perform the drum chant for the first time with the student body on April 23. “I’m really honored that those guys thought Will and I would be the best people to do the chant,” Shaeffer said. “It will be an honor to continue the tradition.”
