The Avengers
The strongest superheroes come together to fight Thor’s evil brother Loki from the Tesseract. Superheros from different backgrounds and different strengths have to work as a team to save the world from disaster. Nick Fury, the director of S.H.I.E.L.D, pulls together a team of all the top superheroes to save the world from the threat to the Earth. At first, the team of superheroes become divided and seem as if they won’t make a perfect team. They run into numerous obstacles, such as their transportation getting attacked and the Hulk falling from the sky. However, in the end, they put their differences aside to fight Loki, proving that they do make a good team. This movie was the start of a series of legendary movies. This was the first Marvel movie where all the individuals were shown together, and the viewers could see the chemistry between them. With a combination of humor and action, it’s the perfect movie to watch whenever you’re bored. However, the only downside is that it’s like a classic superhero movie where the heroes always win, making it predictable.
Avengers: Age of Ultron
The Avengers once again have another villain to defeat, only this time, it’s Stark’s own creation. In the process of raiding a hydra facility to take the scepter Loki previously use, they run into the twins with supernatural speed and telepathic and telekinetic abilities. Stark discovers an A.I. in the scepters gem and uses it on Ultron’s creation, not knowing what powers it could possess. Ultron believes he must eliminate humanity to save Earth and works with the twins who have a grudge against Stark to do so. The Avengers get involved and fight Ultron to save humanity. The twins eventually join the Avengers in fighting Ultron and work together to form one team. Pietro, one of the twins, dies in saving civilians during the fight. This movie was full of suspense and more action than the first movie. It had many plot twists, which kept it entertaining. Instead of having a regular superhero ending where all the good guys stay alive, one of the good guys ends up dying, ending the movie in sad spirits.
Avengers: Infinity War
Thanos plans to destroy half of the universe. He sets out to obtain all of the infinity stones to snap his fingers and have half of the universe disappear. Stark, Peter, and Strange get aboard one of Thanos’s minion’s ship to try and figure out where the rest of the stones are. The remaining Avengers are doing their part in trying to get to the stones before Thanos does. Along the way, Thanos kidnaps Gamora and kills her to obtain one of the stones proving that he is willing to kill the one person he loved to do what he thought he had to do. Strange uses his powers to determine how they could keep half of humanity from dying. Eventually, during the fight, Strange gives Thanos the time stone and surrenders. With only one more stone left to get, Thanos arrives in Wakanda to take vision’s stone. After a long and tough battle, Thanos eventually wins and snaps his fingers. The movie ends by seeing half of humanity disappear from the universe, including some superheroes. This movie left almost everyone in tears with its suspenseful and unpredictable plot.
Avengers: Endgame
Avengers: Endgame was probably the most anticipated movie in the Marvel universe. We were left off in the storyline when Thanos snapped his fingers, and half of humanity disappeared. The remaining Avengers were left wondering who has survived the snap and how they could undo his snap. After years of trying, many split off to find their own way of coping and living life with the world’s drastic changes. That is until they discover time travel. With Ant-man coming back through time travel, the Avengers decided to do the same for everyone else. Through a lot of risks, they time travel to moments before the snap to obtain all the stones before Thanos gets them. To do so, they lose lives and relive sad memories from the past. Eventually, they succeed. However, past Thanos discovers their plan and goes to try to stop to Avengers. In the fight scene, everyone comes together to defeat Thanos and his minions. In the end, Stark sacrifices his life to save the world. This movie brought tears to people’s eyes, not even a minute in. Pulling together the themes of love, sacrifice, and loneliness, it portrayed each superhero’s struggles and drew the viewer into the movie. As a highly anticipated movie, this movie did not disappoint. It concluded certain characters and opened a new chapter for other characters.
