Paws for a Cause
March 28, 2018
On Sat., March 24, BV West hosted its annual Paws for a Cause event. Dog owners came up to the school for a day to have fun with their pets, as well as, raise money for a good cause.
Paws for a Cause allows its participants to walk their dogs outside around campus. In addition to this fun opportunity for pups, owners also have the chance to visit with dog food, treat and toy booths set up around campus. Attendees also have the chance to adopt dogs from the shelter Wayside Waifs.
“It was so much fun, my dog loved getting to be around all the other dogs,” said Jenny Dunlay, a BV West parent who participated in Paws for a Cause. Dunlay also commented on how her dog loved the free treats from local vendors.
The success that results from the event is a progressive step toward bettering the lives of other animals who are less fortunate. Raising money for a good cause while providing a fun day for pooches is one of the many reasons Paws for a Cause is a point of pride at BV West.
