“Here’s the final game Martin, it looks like it’s going to be a student for Blue Valley West versus another student from Blue Valley West…”

The boys’ tennis team has had a great season this spring, and they plan to use their momentum to capture a state title as a team. They’re number 1 in the state of Kansas right now and it looks like they’ll be staying there until they’re beaten. Max Kurzban, a sophomore leads the team at the number one spot. This might be unusual to other teams, but not here at West. Even the number one doubles team is a pair of freshman eager to learn and grow as players.

It looks like there will be endless wins for the West Tennis Team as they captured one title after another. This doesn’t just impress kids and parents, it also caught the eye of Fox 4 news, and Hy-Vee as the Jags picked up the team of the week. This is just one more thing to add onto the list of successes for the team, and hopefully they wont stop there.

Everyone at West will be cheering the team on, on the road to the state championship in hopes to grab another championship. The school year may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t stop the team from pulling through. The tennis team plays TODAY, May 15, 2015 at Goddard TBA, so make sure to be there or be square.
