Spring Signing Day 2024

BV West Student Athletes Continue Their Athletic Careers
Spring+Signing+Day+2024

As the school year comes to an end, the final group of Blue Valley West athletes are committing to their colleges where they will continue their academic and athletic careers. This signing day celebrated West athletes from five different sports, including boy’s basketball, boy’s soccer, boy’s volleyball, girl’s basketball, and girl’s volleyball. The athletes who signed were Gavin Harvey, Makenzie Galliart, Samuel Pro, Carson Flake, Beau Cecil, and Eva Tarlos.

Carson Flake committed to play soccer at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. “4 years ago, I never thought it would be possible to commit to play college soccer. After years of hard work, it is the best feeling to accomplish a massive goal. I couldn’t do it without my coaches, parents, teammates, and family!” says Flake on his commitment.

Gavin Harvey committed to play basketball at JCCC in Overland Park, Kansas. “Going to college for basketball was always a dream of mine,” says Harvey on his commitment.

Samuel Pro committed to play soccer at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin. “I’m looking forward to pursuing many things at Carthage, and am extremely blessed to be playing,” says Pro on his commitment.

Beau Cecil committed to play volleyball at Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri.

Makenzie Galliart committed to play basketball at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. “I’m looking forward to meeting my new teammates and being able to compete at the collegiate level,” says Galliart on her commitment.

Eva Tarlos committed to play volleyball at Webster University in Webster Groves, Missouri. “My advice for athletes: be grateful, encouraging, gritty, and respectful. Focus on developing your individual talents and strive to be a better person than you were yesterday,” says Tarlos on the process of commitment.

Congratulations to all the athletes who signed at the spring signing day!
