Boys Swim Prepares for State
12 swimmers qualify to State marking a successful season

After a disappointing fifth place at the East Kansas League meet Feb. 2 and 3, the boys swim look toward State. The 12 qualifiers and Coach Sample have two weeks to prepare themselves for their culminating meet in Topeka, Kan. Feb. 15 & 16.
Although fifth at EKL was a surprise, the team has more than twice the number of qualifiers to the State meet as swam in 2017. The qualifiers include: junior Travor Baier, junior Dawson Duran, freshman Sam Foster, junior Jason Garlett, freshman Kevin Glenn, sophomore Sam Kratochvil, sophomore chase Lane, junior Edward Liu, junior Dylan Logsdon, freshman Sam Pankratz, sophomore Lucas Park and sophomore Trevor Sinclair. The team placed eighth at State last year and hopes to improve on that in 2018.
